The documentary follows Karl Lagerfeld as the house prepares for its spring 2018 couture show
Chanel will be one of the subjects of a new Netflix documentary series, which highlights the work of different visionaries in the worlds of fashion, film, food, space, sports and entertainment. Titled “7 Days Out,” the series will debut on December 21, and its premiere episode will be all about Chanel.
Directed by Andrew Rossi of the Met Gala-focused film “The First Monday In May,” the episode follows Karl Lagerfeld and his atelier for an entire week as they prepare for Chanel’s spring 2018 haute couture show. Viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at the French luxury house’s inner workings, from Lagerfeld’s Paris-based studio to his go-to show venue of the Grand Palais.
According to Netflix, Rossi was given free reign to film what he wanted, with full access to Lagerfeld and his team, making it one to watch for an insight into what really goes on beyond the public eye.
