L’Atelier Nawbar and Nathalie Fanj have come together to turn our childhood memories into jewellery
Lebanese jewellery brand L’Atelier Nawbar has teamed up with influencer Nathalie Fanj for a one-of-a-kind capsule collection which pays tribute to the good ol’ days – the ‘90s. The Jem Pop collection features six unique statement rings, each of which draws inspiration from the oversized, candy-coloured plastic jewellery that was all the rage at the time. Each gold-plated statement piece has been handmade by fine-jewellery artisans and is modelled after iconic items from the decade – including the now-vintage cassette tapes. Other designs include a yin-yang sign, a smiley face, an eye and a heart available in two colour combinations.
Nathalie Fanj chose to celebrate the ’90s with her jewellery collection as she – along with L’Atelier Nawbar’s creative directors Dima and Tania Nawbar – have always admired the decade’s trends. “I remember growing up in the ’90s and being so inspired by my sisters who were teenagers then and how they dressed. I own a lot of clothing items and jewellery from the ’90s that I will never stop wearing,” explains Nathalie.
An optimistic, light-hearted collaboration between a Lebanese brand and Lebanese creative is especially meaningful as the country continues to try to lift spirits and support one another after last year’s devastating events.
