What do you get when you combine fashion with one of America’s most famous interior design gurus? According to Anthony Baratta: “A sporty, contemporary and fun collection – sort of like my decorating.”
The popular interior designer teamed up with Weekend Max Mara on a 12-piece capsule collection, titled Nantucket. Complete with the architect’s signature blue-and-white chinoiserie patterns, the collection boasts easygoing silhouettes and accessories.
From strawberry-coloured gingham, blue stripes and a delicate rose motif, the collection’s prints are perfect for your next getaway. The capsule also includes the brand’s trademark Pasticcino bag, available in the decorative Chinese art and furniture print.

Where did your inspiration for the patterns of Weekend Max Mara Nantucket Collection come from?
The patterns have been used in my work forever. They have been layered together to take on a new life of their own. If I were decorating a house in Nantucket by the Sea, these patterns would all be a part of the design.
What kind of women do you see wearing the Nantucket Collection?
The collection appeals to all different kinds of women. I would say sporty, contemporary, and fun- sort of just like my decorating.
What does Chinese ceramic mean to you? How did this passion start?
I love blue and white porcelains. They have always been integral to my interiors. There is an elegance and honesty to them and they never look out of place anywhere.
How did you choose the pattern for the collection?
I just love stripes, floral, and checks for the summertime. The signature pattern, done by my friends at Max Mara, has all the kinds of decorative items that I use within the homes I design.
