The Future Of Film
The silver screen is a place where stars a born, but for Nayla Al Khaja it was her role behind the camera that has caught our attention. Al Khaja is the first female UAE national to embark on such a career, shooting her first short film ‘Arabana’ in 2006 – which dealt with the subject of child abuse. The film premiered at the Dubai International Film Festival in 2007 where she was awarded the title for ‘Best Emirati Filmmaker’.
