Here’s what caught our eye on day one of Baselworld 2019…
Baselworld 2019 is officially in full swing and luxury and horology are clearly at the forefront of the fair. It was a sparkling showcase on women’s timepieces specifically, as a slew of creations for women have been revealed. Fusing both artistry and jewellery, take a look at a coveted selection of new limited-edition timepieces from Chanel.
The luxury maison released a limited edition Première watch – the first watch created exclusively for women in 1987 by the brand – at the fair. The iconic timepiece was released with an ADLC-treated strap and case, and black-lacquered dial and an intense black shade.
Chanel also released the Boyfriend watch in a new “Grand Feu” enamel Tweed and a Fine Watchmaking Skeleton, Caliber 3 – complete in intense black, too.
The brand then released a new intense black version of the Monsieur watch, unveiled with a black ceramic case. The watch for men is considered to be the maison’s first in-house high-watchmaking movement.
