We are spectator’s looking in at Gil Heitor Cortesão’s Carbon 12 exhibition, Out of Season. The use of acrylic gives us the elusion of peering through a window into an alternative existence of 1950’s Americana; an era that Cortesão is ‘nostalgic for a moment that I have never lived’. With his whimsical representations of life, we are too.
