Martyrs’ Day

In a solemn show of solidarity, The United Arab Emirates salutes the martyrdom of Emirati soldiers who have lost their lives defending the sovereignty of the nation. Martyrs’ Day is a day to reflect and recognise the true sacrifice made by those heroes. We adopt the colour red to symbolise the sacrifice of the fallen and to also combine it with one of the nation’s most patriotic hues.
