The jewel tone shade is perfect for autumn
From cobalt to navy, our favourite stars are delivering a master class in how to wear blue eyeshadow without going overboard this season.
At a screening for Stranger Things season two, Millie Bobby Brown walked the red carpet rocking a dramatic shimmering cobalt eye and a glossy pink lip, care of makeup artist Gianpaolo Ceciliato. According to Ceciliato, the look was achieved by applying a heavy coating of the rich shade from the lash line to the brow bone and then tracing the waterline with a complementary navy liner. He finished the look by defining her upper and lower eyelashes with coatings of mascara.

Lily Aldridge opted for a more casual take on the trend as she attended a Levi’s event in Los Angeles. Makeup artist Pati Dubroff who was responsible for the look called it “a blue jean dream”. To achieve the look, Dubroff smudged the sparkly blue hue along the top and bottom lashes for a subtle yet sultry take on the classic smokey eye. A neutral lip and undone waves added to the laid-back vibe.
