Couldn’t quite get on board with the clean girl aesthetic? Or latte makeup? Or golden hour highlights? Never fear, a new trend is here. Courtesy of Hailey Bieber (because who else has the power to send beauty trends into the stratosphere?), strawberry makeup is the latest trend to storm social media.
Hailey is celebrating the launch of the limited-edition Strawberry Glaze Peptide Lip Treatment, a strawberry-flavoured iteration of the best-selling Peptide Lip Treatment by Rhode, her skincare brand. Hailey has repeatedly stated her desire to look like a ‘glazed donut’ thanks to layers of skincare, and strawberry makeup builds upon a dewy complexion.

Characterised by healthy skin and berry-coloured blush, strawberry makeup results in a youthful glow and is (thankfully) easy to master. Hailey took viewers through her strawberry makeup routine step-by-step on her TikTok, beginning by prepping her skin with the Glazing Milk and Peptide Glazing Fluid by Rhode. Next, she bronzes with the cult-favourite Shade and Illuminate Cream Contour Duo by Tom Ford and applies the Hourglass Vanish Airbush Concealer as an alternative to foundation. Unfortunately, the exact blush Hailey uses is never mentioned (she teases “Can’t say where the cream blushes are from,” so we assume it is Rhode’s upcoming release), but you can reach for any highly pigmented formula. Apply it generously to the apples of your cheeks and bridge of the nose for a back-from-the-beach look.
Next, add a swipe of cream highlighter, brown liquid eyeliner, mascara and optional faux freckles. Given that Hailey is promoting her Peptide Lip Treatment, it should come as no surprise that it is the product she uses in her video. However, Hailey also adds a dab of cream blush to her lips to create a cohesive look and lines her lips with Make Up For Ever’s Artist Colour Pencil in Anywhere Caffeine.
Since her tutorial, Hailey has also had her strawberry makeup done by makeup artists Mary Phillips and Leah Darcy, each doing their own spin on the trend.
