The latest in a series of hand sketched illustrations created by Dior Jewellery’s creative director Victoire de Castellane, features her fairy-tale adventure with Christian Dior himself; as she announces the launch of the latest Rose des Vents fine jewellery collection.
The founder of the iconic French brand always carried a lucky star in his pocket and referenced the symbol, along with his favourite rose, in many of his designs. The latest haute joaillerie collection and the video illustrations accompanying them, are a playful nod to Dior’s lores. “Creating is about searching, turning things over and then finding one’s cardinal point and setting off on a journey,” Castellane describes her thought process behind the collection that includes petite medallion-like charms with an embellished side and a plain hard-stone side; depicting the metaphor of the enchanting collection.
