Discover 24 hours with the Turkish jewellery designer and founder of Begum Khan, who specialises in handmade, timeless jewellery created in-house at her atelier in Istanbul
I wake up at… around 8am, as this is when I feel most energised and ready to start the day.
My morning routine normally consists of… breakfast in bed before a workout at the gym. I then make myself a dandelion root coffee and head straight to work.
I’m responsible for… everything related to my jewellery brand and its progression, as well as the beautiful and talented people who work alongside me.

My typical day… consists of a diary filled with back-to-back meetings — I tend to have lunch at my desk, followed by Zoom calls. I started my brand 10 years ago but I still get excited every day when I step in the office. It’s my happy place.
The most exciting thing I’m working on right now is… a Guerlain collaboration that I am part of, and the worldwide tour planned for this and the following year.
My go-to working wardrobe consists of… a white tank top and jeans, black blazer or black leather jacket, accompanied by Chanel flats and Shalimar perfume.
For my go-to beauty look for the 9-5… I use a lot of moisturiser during the day as I love to ensure my skin stays hydrated. I then generally add a tinted SPF50 and a nude lipstick.

For lunch I eat… a salad bowl or a lunch box prepared by my mother at home in Istanbul.
What I love most about my job is… the people I work with, and seeing how all the crazy ideas turn into reality just in front of our eyes.
And what I enjoy the least is… not having enough time for all the proposed plans.
When I get home I… love a chilled evening wearing comfortable pyjamas and enjoying a Jasmine green tea.
I couldn’t live without… water. It’s absolutely fundamental for me.
When I feel stressed I… tend to get moody!
