From high-end fashion houses to mainstream sportswear, logomania is everywhere. Here’s how to incorporate key pieces in your everyday wardrobe.
Balenciaga was one of the first to take its branding and make it cool. Think ‘BALENCIAGA’ stamped denim jackets as must-have logomania pieces back in summer 2017. Now we’re seeing the letters across everything from socks to bags, and a MOJEH favourite – running diagonally through light knitwear. Wear with heels and sharp tailoring to shift from casual-wear to cool and sophisticated. (Meet Demna Gvasalia, the man that made Balenciaga hip again, in MOJEH’s interview here).
Knee high socks from Prada carry the brand’s classic logo. The perfect addition to add some quirk to an otherwise monochrome outfit. The heritage Loewe twist emblem is made modern through casual ripped T-shirts, disheveled for extra texture. Similarly, Lacoste and Fila are using their old-school insignia on some of 2018’s most wearable pieces, offering the brands street-style significance once again.
When styling, dress up instead of down. Logomania pieces are in main, borne from the athleisure movement of recent years, and subsequently tend to err on the side of casual. Where branded jumpers under tailored blazers. Logo bags with richly coloured clothing. And emblem T-shirts with structured trousers.
