As the show progressed, more exuberant styles graced the runway, embracing expansive and voluminous shapes. Dramatic waved ruffles, sculptural designs, sheer cutouts, silk blue velvet, and thread embroideries infused the collection with a palette of overwhelmingly saturated hues and optimism, including apple green and Klein blues, sugary pinks, orange and scarlet red.
A standout piece was a deep blue and green silk crepe dress with an exquisite sculptural shape, pleated draping at the waist, and dramatic sleeve shoulder details.
Amidst the variety of trains, poufs, and embroideries, Ward demonstrates his ability to cater to the modern penchant for minimalism. Within a voluminous Ward gown, a lady may enjoy the duality of revealing a hint of leg while gracefully allowing parts of her waist to peek through the ingeniously embroidered sheer fabrics.
