Last season, Mohammed Ashi became the first Saudi Arabian designer to feature in the official schedule at Paris Couture Week. This season marks his second haute couture presentation.

“The approach, the inspiration, it’s all transformed,” he reflects. Ashi, who established his Ashi Studio brand in 2007.

Focusing on monochromatic ensembles and graphic corsets, Ashi weaves a deeply personal story through geometric gowns. She contrasts these with enveloping coats and cascading dresses in tactile materials like brushed mohair and delicate lace.

In some designs, he daringly reveals skin, incorporating architectural volume in sleeves, shiny, feather-like overcoats, strategic cutouts, sheer slips, and generous use of metallics in gold and silver.

Now established on the couture scene, Ashi is challenged to distinguish his work further from other Middle Eastern designers who share the couture spotlight. Yet, with a fan base that includes Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, it’s clear that celebrities and his discerning clientele will eagerly anticipate his latest creations.
