The Jewels

The choker remains a neckwear staple although this season sees the gothic modes we have become accustomed to reimagined with a lighter feeling. Pearls and Victoriana details were prevalent at Fenty x Puma while Lanvin worked with jewelled florals on orange and gold tones.

CHLOE | MANISH ARORA | CHRISTIAN DIOR | ISABEL MARANT | LANVIN

The Bag

The standout bags remain small and handheld for SS17. Chloé married suede and leather with large gold hoops that dangled from the wrist while Lanvin looked to the luxe with jewelled hand straps, zebra and python prints with crackled patent leather details and Dior’s bore the mark of their brand and swung from oversized straps.

YVES SAINT LAURENT | CHRISTIAN DIOR | ACNE | LANVIN | ELIE SAAB

The Shoe

Black, white and glistening, from Lanvin’s jewelled flats to the looming logos seen at Dior and Yves Saint Laurent, shoes for SS17 make their mark. The former’s were a showstopper, Anthony Vacarello made a strong statement about the new brand identity with Yves carved firmly into the heel shape . Opt for their pointed powerheel to ensure your footwear becomes a talking point.
