PFW: Givenchy

37 sec read

Trust Tisci to turn things around. In a nod towards nature Givenchy’s show, held in the Jardin des Plantes was open air and saw a sea of silver as the guests, draped in foil blankets, waited for the show to unfold. Agate patterned slip dresses in palettes of reds, oranges and purples radiated power while shining black suits took a masculine form. Givenchy’s sharply tailored jackets took a Seventies turn with large agate pendants dangling from a shirtless neckline.

A cacophony of colour and print ensued in the form of frilled, stripped and micro-printed dresses that stayed close to the Seventies theme. Free from political or personal statements the collection felt fairly safe the wake of the brand’s previous directions yet the stone studded show left us dwelling on Tisci’s fresh floral-free interpretation of nature.
