The latest creation by Hedi Slimane for Celine, the Victoire bag, is a slouchy yet sophisticated carryall
If Hedi Slimane can convince us of anything, it is to scoop up every Celine bag as soon as it hits stores; each of the Maison’s silhouettes earn It Bag status. The latest piece to steal our hearts? The Victoire, a do-it-all shoulder bag that marries the 90s nostalgia of practical purses with a sleek, contemporary finish.
First debuted in October at La Bibliothèque National as part of the “tomboy” collection, the carryall was designed to be a day-to-night hero, versatile enough to bring along on workdays, errands and weekends. The silhouette is structured with an ever-so-slight slouch for a worn-in feel. Inside you’ll find multiple compartments for stashing your essentials – two main compartments, a zipped pocket and patched pocket – while the outside is stamped with the emblematic Triomphe logo. The finishing touch is a sliding chain that allows for versatile wear, whether crossbody, on the shoulder or slung on the hips.
