Vanilla, white musk and amber come together in the youth-inspired Zouzou

Celine welcomes another exquisite fragrance to its eleven-strong haute parfumerie collection. Introducing: Zouzou. A fragrance intended for daytime (and part of a line-up that includes fan favourites Parade, Bois Dormant and Dans Paris), Hedi Slimane created Zouzou as an ode to the carefree, mischievous young women of the 1960s.

The It Girl is a constant muse for the creative director and she continues to be an inspiration for Zouzou. A youthful spirit unfolds through playful notes of vanilla, amber and caramel, while the Celine woman’s elegance and sensuality is acknowledged through enveloping white musk and patchouli. “I wished to create a perfume about utopic adolescence, capturing an ideal of eternal youth,” explained Hedi Slimane in a statement. “I called my new perfume for Celine Zouzou, an affectionate and child-like nickname that appeared in the last century to describe a young woman with short hair.”

In-keeping with both the tradition of the Maison and French savoir-faire, the bottle is crafted using French glassmaking techniques and channels 17th-century classicism through a minimalistic, gently-fluted silhouette. The finishing touch? The Celine Triomphe emblem, stamped on the top of the cap. Zouzou launches in June 2024 Learn more
