But it wasn’t just the competitors that had us talking, the country’s finest models were also a major presence during the event’s opening ceremony. Victoria’s Secret models Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio shared in the patriotic ceremony, carrying the iconic torch for their country as it made its way to the Maracaña Stadium. Fellow native model Gisele Bündchen added a touch of glamour to the proceedings, donning a stunning floor-grazing metallic gown as she strutted across the stage on what seemed to a boundless runway.
