Summer Is About A Colour Riot And Clashing Prints. Here’s How

MOJEH’s March 2018 cover shoot, Colour Riot, packs a punch with eclectic pieces, pushing styling to extremes. See key looks from the summer collections here.

Balmain kicks off Colour Riot with a jacket-dress overwhelmed in cherry red and cobalt blue, petal shaped organza. Black netting, silver studs and white feathers embellish the showstopper and cinch it at the waist. The piece is both parts elegant and eclectic, and summarises the fiery sentiment of the season.

Similarly, Calvin Klein’s paper-thin leather two-piece in tango orange hits the high notes. Opt to layer with a basic black knit for an attempt at subtly.

If bohemia is still your vibe, try Valentino’s floral lace dress, but mix with unexpected hits of extremities such as Vivienne Westwood’s paint splattered blazer and Marni’s androgynous brogues.

Nothing brings the drama quite like Balenciaga’s look number 56 from Spring Summer 18. Think thigh-high gold, sequined boots and over-sized earrings. But teamed with a soft roll-neck top and floral printed skirt, look 56 becomes feminine and whimsical. Perfect for a European city break in the height of summer.
