Louis Vuitton’s latest collection pushes opulent athleisure to the forefront of our Springtime wardrobes.

In MOJEH’s February issue, the fashion desk takes an in-depth look at Nicolas Ghesquière’s latest offering for the house of Louis Vuitton, in which contemporary style codes allow for unexpected pairings of past and present influences. Brocade coats with running shorts and ruffled shirts with high-top sneakers nod towards a new-age athleisure where opulence and glamour prevail. Colour codes are kept soft and feminine with sequined whites, shiny turquoise and washed out lavender. The traditional Louis Vuitton codes are present with avant-garde silhouettes, especially in tailored jackets, and over-sized pea shaped dresses and opulence is felt through in-depth embellishment in which sequins form delicate trails of florals and forna.

This is a collection for the woman who’s lifestyle calls for function and comfort, yet she still desires glamour and femininity, signalling a decadent departure from their cruise 2018 offering which focused on colour and print as opposed to feminine glamour (view it here).
