Another day in Hollywood means another awards show; this time, it is the Critics Choice Award that is serving the red carpet glamour.
The Critics Choice Awards sees professional critics – not just us and our cat judging from the comfort of the couch – vote for their favourite films and television shows. As could be expected, Oppenheimer swept the show with a total of eight wins, including the award for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Acting Ensemble. Barbie made it through the ceremony with six awards – Best Song for I’m Just Ken, being one of them – while Emma Stone won Best Actress for Poor Things. The Critics Choice Award has historically been the best indicator of the Oscars winners, though we will have to wait until March to find out.
