The AW19 collection will also feature the women’s pre-fall 2019 collection
Instead of showing in its regular home of Milan, Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott has announced he will be presenting both the brand’s AW19 menswear and womenswear pre-fall 2019 collections in Rome.
"I decided to present the men's collection and the women's pre-fall 2019 collections in the historical Cinecittà studios in Rome, as the show will be a tribute to the great Federico Fellini who filmed some of his film masterpieces there. I took inspiration from his work and from the magnificent characters from films such as Roma; La Dolce Vita; Satyricon; 8 1/2 and Casanova, just to name a few," explained the designer in a statement.
Of course, Scott is not the first designer to choose Cinecittà as the set of his show. In December 2015, Karl Lagerfeld hosted the Chanel Métiers d’Art fall 2015 runway show at the Roman studios, where he recreated the streets of Paris.
The show is scheduled for Tuesday January 8, 2019.
