MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants: Dubai Takes The Top Three Spots

1 min read

Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants has unveiled its 2024 rankings and Dubai has been awarded 18 spots on the coveted list, including the top three. The beloved Orfali Bros Bistro tops the list for the second consecutive year, followed by experiential fine-dining Indian restaurant Trèsind Studio and Atlantis The Palm’s famed Ossiano.

Orfali Bros Bistro was brought to Dubai in 2021 by the three Orfali brothers (namely Mohammed, Wassim and Omar), who tell the story of their Aleppian roots through emotion-driven cuisine.

Coming in fourth is Moonrise, the Omakase experience helmed by chef Soleman Haddad, followed by Dubai favourite 3Fils in sixth place. Michelin-awarded restaurants Kinoya, Zuma, 11 Woodfire, Boca and Mimi Kakushi round-out the top 20.

While foodies can often predict the list (and have personal favourites that they hope make the cut) because of its tendency to reshuffle, 2024 saw 13 new entries from Dubai, Cairo, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.

Voting is decided through a panel of 250 key figures across the restaurant industry from critics and food writers to chefs and restaurateurs, who each nominate seven restaurants from inside and outside of the country in which they live. In light of the devastation occurring in the region, 50 Best did not host a live ceremony to announce the results. Learn more about the restaurants here
