A hidden gem in the heart of DIFC, Galaxy Bar is an elegant cocktail lounge tucked away behind avli by Tashas. Conceptualised by Tashas Group, Galaxy Bar is an homage to founder and CEO Natasha Sideris’ Greek heritage with its Aegean-inspired interiors and concoctions. Upon arrival, a velvet curtain is pulled back to reveal a gorgeous speakeasy with luscious, midnight-blue furnishings and a twinkling ceiling representing the night sky in Athens; the terrazzo floor and sculpted bar are also nods to the Greek capital. The glow of the hypnotising ceiling illuminates gold and marble accents throughout the space. The sultry interiors are contrasted with a buzzy atmosphere thanks to smooth beats provided by the resident DJ (at the perfect volume to actually be able to speak to your guests – imagine that!).
Galaxy Bar is an intimate late-night lounge perfect for date night and post-dinner drinks as it only seats 50 guests; reservations are simultaneously essential and difficult to acquire due to its must-visit status. Expert mixologists craft award-winning cocktails from a carefully curated menu catering to every preference. Can’t decide? Tell the bartender your favourite tipple and they’ll recommend a winner (or craft one specifically to your liking). The newly expanded menu – which took the team an entire year to perfect – features 12 brand-new beverages, each named after a constellation from Greek history.
