1. S/S19’s ON TREND HAIR HUE
“It’s all about colour taking a playful turn, with the prevalence of unicorn colours, candy hues and gentle pastel shade, as seen at Marc Jacobs. My favourite colour is the peachy-pink. To create this, the hair has to be pre-lightened to a nice clean blonde, and then the toner is placed on the hair to give the fresh peach-pink hue. I would always recommend to stylist’s that they use L’Oreal Vitamino Colour 10-in-1, when creating these playful colours, as it is a porosity equaliser of the hair, which ensures the toner will hold for longer.”

2. SUMMER’S TOP THREE STYLES
“Sleek braiding, as seen at Max Mara, a micro-fringe, which I loved at Prada and Miu Miu, and nice, easy natural movement shown beautifully at Etro and Chanel.”

SLEEK BRAIDING HOW-TO:
First, centre part the hair, then use L’Oreal Tecni-Art Fix Max Gel to slick down the hair, ideally when it’s still wet. You can use a fine tooth comb to slick down the baby hairs at the front. Then, put your hair in a ponytail, and blast the flyaways on low-speed so the hair all moulds together. Finish, by plaiting the ponytail.”

MICRO-FRINGE HOW-TO
“Prep the hair with Pli Shaper from L’Oreal Professional, then use a big wand or tong to create some movement. Next, spray some L’Oreal Beach Wave Mist onto you fingers, and spread through the hair to define the texture. Then use hair spray to keep it all in place, and L’Oreal’s Ring Light Force on the ends for enhanced shine.”

NATURAL MOVEMENT HOW-TO
“Use “L’Oreal Pli Shaper when hair is wet and then divide the hair into medium-sized sections, and wrap each section in turn around the barrel, away from the face. (If you use a Dyson AirWrap in the horizontal position, this style is so easy to create!). Once you’ve created the curls, brush them out to give a more natural feel.”

3. TRENDING BEACH HOLIDAY HAIRSTYLES
“For beach holidays, I always think it’s best to keep hair as natural as possible, which is very on point this season. Otherwise, fishtail braids are always, or just the normal plait, as seen at Cushnie. The added bonus is that when you take this style out, you’ll be left with a lovely natural wave, which you can texturise using a salt spray for an instant beach-to-bar look.”

4. TRENDING CITY ESCAPE HAIRSTYLES
“Think how you’ll be spending your time… For sightseeing or clubbing, you’ll want your hair off your face, with either a topknot (recently trending at Chanel) or a simple ponytail a la Burberry. However, if you’ll be fine dining, then a wand will be your best friend, as it will allow you to easily create sophisticated and glamorous waves. You can also upgrade your ponytail with the addition of an accessory, like at Prada… the perfect example of how to achieve a high-end ponytail.”

5. THE BEST HAIR RE-FRESH
“I always recommend my clients go lighter in the summer, ideally using baby lights around the face for some contour. This summer, I love the golden beige tones that were prevalent this season.”

6. HAUTE HAIR ACCESSORIES
“I’m a fan of all types of accessories, as they lend a fresh, modern look to hairstyles. Remember, placement is everything. Look in magazines and on Instagram to see how you should wear the bow, band or clip. And there is a caveat: think about your overall look. You must be wearing the right clothes to pull off the hair accessory – make sure it matches or complements your ensemble.”

7. GET THE ULTIMATE WET-LOOK TREND
“This was another popular look on the catwalks, whether with braids at Max Mara or just on its own at Chloe. You need to start with damp hair, then use L’Oreal’s Fix Max Gel 6, which will allow you to comb the hair into place, but will keep it looking wet. Once you have placed the hair where you want it, put the on at its lowest setting and allow it to mould the hair into place. Finish by using L’Oreal’s Ring Light Pure Spray on the ends to add some shine.”
