The 81st Golden Globes took place on Sunday night to celebrate achievements in film and television, with the stars stepping out in full force after months of red carpet bans due to the SAG-AFRA strike. Every star and their mother (literally, in the case of Bradley Cooper) was in attendance, from Kylie Jenner to Jennifer Lawrence and Margot Robbie. While the fashion moments had us in a tizzy, the beauty looks were equally inspiring. Some celebrities adhered to the traditional going-out glam of smokey eyes and vampy lips, though the beauty trend of the evening was a pared-back makeup look that highlighted dewy, fresh complexions.
Kylie Jenner continued her minimal makeup era with glowing skin (perhaps because of her Golden Globes date, Timothée Chalamet), brushed-up brows and natural mascara, finishing the look with a peachy, nude lip. Taylor Swift abandoned her trademark red pout in favour of a nude shade; Emma Stone was positively radiant in her signature understated approach; and Dua Lipa let her copper hair do the talking, opting for a swipe of matching blush and minimal shadow.
