The Life of Hanneli Mustaparta

1 min read

With multiple slashes to her name – photographer / model / blogger / stylist – Hanneli Mustaparta is far more than just a pretty face. Named as one of the most influential bloggers by American Vogue, the Norwegian style maven’s day-to-day musings on her blog are more than a little addictive…

What’s the first thing you do in the morning?

I drink some green tea, cleanse and moisturise my skin (before having breakfast) and then maybe do some Pilates.

How would you describe your style?

Feminine and playful. I love to experiment with interesting colour combinations.

What pieces will you be investing in for summer?

A white flowy dress from Chloe and some white velvet trouserss from Louis Vuitton.

What’s can you not live without?

My family, friends and dog, Hilary Clinton.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

If you make a mistake, or do something stupid, own it.

Where do you plan to visit in 2015?

Dubai, The Hamptons, Denmark, Germany, Paris…

What makes for the perfect street style shot?

The perfect subject! Someone natural, who is in tune with her/his own style, along with good lighting (sun with scattered clouds and buildings to bounce the light). And then, me directing them to catch that perfect moment.

What’s your favourite quote?

‘Try to be a rainbow in somebody’s cloud’ – Maya Angelou.

What’s the one thing you want to achieve this year?

I’m working on a personal charity-based project right now – to give something back.

Where’s your favourite place to eat?

Little Owl in New York for the meatball sliders, and Dinner in Norway.

Where’s your favourite place in the world?

The Maldives.

Buying a really good bag – I love my Frank Ghery Louis Vuitton bag.

Yes, lots! Most that I can’t talk about right now, but lots of art direction based projects and I’m also looking at creating something myself – watch this space!
