Hublot returns as the Official Timekeeper of the FIFA World Cup and unveils its feel-good campaign with 15 legendary athletes

The countdown is on! With only 60 days to go before the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 kicks off, Hublot is unveiling the official Hublot Loves Football campaign. The official timekeepers for the world’s most-watched event, Hublot will time all 64 matches, culminating in the final at Doha’s Lusail Stadium on December 18. To mark the occasion, Hublot invited Lebanese fashion designer Mira Mikati to design the Hublot Loves Football campaign. Overflowing with optimism, her hand-drawn designs communicate the spirit of unity and capture the excitement of the tournament. “Just as football sparks joy on the pitch, I want my work to be a constant supply of happiness,” shares the designer.

The campaign features 15 Hublot ambassadors and friends of the brand, each of which created unique designs to represent the football of their dreams. Each one-off piece of art captures the themes of hope and universal respect as well as the personalities of superstar athletes. French international Laure Boulleau channeled feel-good energy into her hand-crocheted tie-dye football; US footballer Alex Morgan’s ball is representative of sunny California; Spanish player Alexia Putellas’ football is adorned in floral motifs and meaningful symbols; and colours reflect the life journey of French striker Kylian Mbappé.

Hublot became the first fine watchmaking brand in football in 2006 and, this year, abides by the philosophy of “passion, fairness, family” to carry a message of unity and sportsmanship to every corner of the Earth. FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 marks Hublot’s fourth time as Official Timekeeper. “We are so excited for this year’s festival of football to begin and wish every participating team the very best of luck,” shares Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot CEO.
