Last month, maison Dior took Maria Grazia Chiuri’s latest couture collection to Dubai and since then, the city has been celebrating with exclusive creations and capsule collections.
Continuing that spirit of haute couture, Dior has introduced a new concept that allows you to design your very own Dior Grand Bal Couture watch.
The idea stems from Christian Dior’s great passions and interest in the swirl of a ball gown, and the maison’s horology department has perpetuated those traditions by offering craftsmen the freedom to express their know-how in your custom piece.
Complete with an 11 1⁄2 caliber, precious metal, gemstones, feathers and precise craftsmanship, the Dior Grand Bal Couture timepieces are created with the same elegance and precision as a haute couture gown – and now, you get to design your own through a brand new service.
Titled the Dior Grand Bal Couture concept, you’ll be able to choose between a case in gold or steel, a bezel set with brilliant or baguette diamonds, and a dial in coloured lacquer, mother-of-pearl or gemstones (available in a variety of colours).
Also, the smallest details will be taken into account. Whether you opt for a finely latticed, draped, feathered, sun-pleated or beribboned motif, or even want to further personalise your bespoke design with an engraved message or a sun sign constellation — the options are truly endless.
So, how does the process work? Presented in a prestigious coffret, a sales associate and a designer from Dior’s creative studios will be present to assist you with your choices. In five short months, the piece you’ve been waiting for can now beautifully wrap around your wrist.
