Remember that denim skirt you wouldn’t take off back in the early noughties? Well, it’s time to dust it off for spring. Today’s iteration though is a bit more polished, and comes boasting a longer hemline. Forget the mini, it’s all about lengths that are the opposite of abbreviated – think somewhere between your knees and ankles and you’ll be on point.
How to wear them? Net-a-porter’s fashion director Lisa Aiken likes hers high waisted while Kendall Jenner has been spotted with a center-slit ankle grazing version. But it’s fashion It girl Olivia Palermo that takes it to another level. Pairing her skirt with a denim shirt, she proves that twice as much denim is twice as good!
