Paris is the epicentre of effortless dressing and as the last leg of fashion month, it didn’t disappoint either. The streets were teeming with inspiration, so we’ve rounded up the micro trends worth coveting right now.
It’s still animal print, but it’s a welcome break from leopard. Whether it’s a subtle cardigan coat or a bold black and white number you’re after, take your cues from these show goers and look to brands like Isabel Marant and Ganni to shop the look.
Anything goes here, from small checks and formal pieces to large squares and casual pieces – this classic print has inflicted all areas of dress. According to the Autumn Winter catwalks, it’s set to stay, too. Prada’s current offering has checks a plenty if you’re looking to fill that wardrobe void.
The Denim Jumpsuit
It’s not often you spot two street style stars with exactly the same jumpsuit – but here it is. Dior’s denim one-piece with its frayed-edge detailing was a sartorial triumph. Zipped up, or half down, both ladies elevated their look with a chunky platform.
Supersized Soft Clutch
We love a bag refresh and this season there is a clear leader in the style stakes – editors and influencers alike were spotted holding oversized, soft leather clutches carried under the arm. Bottega Veneta’s large gathered leather Pouch is the one to be seen with and its available is a slew of different colours.
We’re not usually advocates of literal dressing, but it is (almost) spring, and these lovely lemon looks were impossible to ignore. Caroline Issa brightened up a grey Parisienne day with a butter-hued skirt and jumper, while another fashion week attendee softened her look with a delicate lemon dress.
The 90s icon has returned for another hit season, and everyone from Acne to Gucci has created their own version. On the streets you won’t find a more practical friend – most are lightweight cotton and breathable and offer premium hair protection of a wild and windy day. They add a sporty youthful edge to any look.
