Naomi: In Fashion explores the career of the polarising supermodel

Naomi Campbell is a cultural icon. Scouted at the age of 15, Naomi was the first Black model to feature on the cover of Vogue France and Time Magazine and one of an elite squad of the ‘first supermodels’ which included Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington. The Victoria & Albert Museum in London is presenting a first-of-its-kind exhibition delving into the decades-long career of the supermodel. Spanning her collaborations with global designers, world-renowned photographers and activism, Naomi: In Fashion takes visitors on a journey through Naomi’s many milestones, both professional and personal.

Produced in collaboration with the supermodel, the exhibition features plenty of archival looks to accompany the stories told throughout, including pieces designed for Naomi by close personal friend Azzedine Alaïa and the Dolce & Gabbana dress she wore in 2007 when serving community service following her first assault charge.

Naomi: In Fashion begins with a section called Becoming Naomi which chronicles her childhood before leading into her early modelling days, relationships with designers, iconic photoshoots and her work as an advocate for emerging designers and people of colour in the industry. Naomi: In Fashion is exhibiting at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London from 22 June 2024 to 6 April 2025. Book now
