Posing as an anthropologist relating an Afrofutristic reality though videos, which intentionally confuse truth and fiction in order to unsettle hegemonic narratives. Kapwani, studied anthropology and comparative religions at McGill University and utilises her research to fashion systems and establish scientific protocols through installations, video, sound and performance. Viewers of her work are immersed in a hybrid alternate reality where anti-colonial struggle, belief systems and vernacular and popular culture dipped in Afrocentricity have shaped society as a whole.
