Louis Vuitton will bring its SEE LV travelling exhibition to Dubai this February. SEE LV takes viewers on an immersive journey through Louis Vuitton's 160-year history via archival objects from the Maison's heritage collection, modern creations and interactive digital experiences. Think twentieth century trunks, artistic collaborations and iconic leather goods.
SEE LV features four chapters: Finding Louis, In Fashion, Bags Stories and Evolution Gallery. Throughout their journey, visitors will encounter a portrait of Louis Vuitton created by Turkish-American artist Refik Anadol using artificial intelligence; men and women's ready-to-wear; historical pieces; iconic bags; and a walkthrough of Louis Vuitton luggage through the ages.
Why Dubai? Louis Vuitton chose the city as it is a melting pot of cultures and hub for innovation. In a statement, Louis Vuitton explained, "[Dubai is] one of the most cosmopolitan cities that provides a deep sense of possibility and innovation. Home to over 200 nationalities, Dubai has proven to be a city where the nexus of East and West makes for a stunning display of cultural diversity."
This is the third stop for the travelling exhibition, the first and second being Wuhan and Hangzhou respectively. SEE LV will be unveiled at the Dubai Mall Fountain on 4 February, where it will remain until 7 March.
