Nude nail polish is the way to go this season (and every other time of the year)
On a runway laden with lush greenery and simple florals, designer Jonathan Simkhai presented his SS19 collection during New York Fashion Week. Inspired by the Edwardian era, Simkhai opted to keep the makeup look simple and elegant with flushed cheeks, berry-stained lips and the most perfect nude manicure, which was achieved using Côte products.
The great thing about a nude manicure is it’s incredibly timeless and goes with any outfit. In the same way that a nude stiletto can make your legs look longer and leaner, a nude nail polish can achieve the same thing for your fingers.
The key to perfecting your nude manicure, is finding the right shade of nude for your skin tone. Rather than matching your skin, you should look for a hue that’s one shade lighter to ensure a flattering effect. To avoid veering into French manicure territory, keep your nails short and ideally buffed into a square tip.
The Nude Traveller Set from Côte is perfect for those on the go or if you want to try their most popular nude shade collection all in one (including no.4 from the Jonathan Simkhai show). Each shade is created to accentuate and compliment individual skin tones with a range of different finishes.
