Van Cleef & Arpels presents additional Perlée collection creations

From the painstaking selection of dazzling diamonds to setting jaw-dropping twists of gold, Van Cleef & Arpels’ Perlée collection reflects the most exclusive in jewellery-making savoir-faire.

This exquisite collection dates from 2008 and offers a refined combination to suit every taste. Opulent gold beads have been part of Van Cleef & Arpels’ history since the Twenties and this aesthetic has inspired the Perlée collection indefinitely. They were originally reworked by hand, before being patiently polished and rounded.

Since then, the gold bead has been continually reinvented with evocatively named creations: Perlée pearls of gold, Perlée couleurs, Perlée diamonds, Perlée clovers and Perlée signature. Every detail is carefully studied so that each piece is commanding but comfortable to wear. On the set pieces, openwork on the gold allows the light to pass through and accentuate the beauty of the diamonds.

Although technology, as well as style, has changed since the brand’s Egyptian-style pieces, which were inspired by the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb in 1922, the Perlée collection remains as breathtaking as ever. MOJEH looks at some of its latest additions.

Perlée couleurs Between the Finger Rings: pink gold, carnelian, diamonds; yellow gold, malachite, diamonds; white gold, turquoise, diamonds

The Between the Finger Ring is one of Van Cleef & Arpels’ most emblematic signatures. Twin motifs are linked by an open ring featuring a curvaceous duet of cabochons – one in hard stone, the other in gold set with diamonds.

These matching pendants and ear studs reinterpret the diamond-set cabochon in an eye-catching yellow, white and pink gold. Delicate, feminine and timeless, these pieces are a jewellery box staple.

Yellow, white and pink gold beautifully complement one another in the shape of three Perlée pearls of gold bracelets. Why not wear with an Alhambra long necklace, pendant and ring? Modest but memorable must-have accessories.

The Sixties were all about soft, fluid shapes when it came to jewellery. The Twist collection combines gold and coral beads with cultured pearls, which results in a delicate spiral and the Alhambra motif, fringed with a beaded contour.
