Celebrating heritage, innovation and the timeless beauty of flora, Tiffany & Co. has revealed its Blue Book 2022 collection, Botanica. The collection re-envisions timeless Tiffany & Co. motifs and has resulted in the high-jewellery garden of dreams: orchids, dandelions, wisterias and thistles are transformed with diamonds and coloured gemstones.
One classic motif reworked for Botanica is the dandelion seed - an element plucked from an early 20th century Louis Comfort hair ornament - which appears as a transformable necklace. A testament to Tiffany & Co.'s craftsmanship and innovation, the necklace features interchangeable pendants, a baguette diamond choker and diamond chain, allowing it to be worn in five unique styles.
The House's 184-year heritage served as inspiration for Botanica with an 1889 exhibition piece inspiring the exquisite orchid brooch, which boasts delicate platinum petals illuminated with hand-set diamond dew drops. "Botanica is the ultimate expression of everything Tiffany & Co. represents today. It is about honouring our incredible heritage while innovating for a new generation,” explains Alexandre Arnault, executive vice president of product and communication at Tiffany & Co.
Designs conceptualised by Jean Schlumberger complete the nature-inspired collection, from the Fleurage bracelet set with a jaw-dropping 48-carat aquamarine to Feuillage necklaces which utilise legacy gemstones - gemstones named as such because Tiffany & Co. is responsible for introducing them to the world.
The Tiffany & Co. Blue Book collections showcase exquisite high jewellery masterpieces and the unrivalled expertise of the House's artisans. The first Blue Book catalogue was published in 1845 and kickstarted what has since become one of the world's most celebrated annual high jewellery collections. Explore the collection
