Victoire de Castellane’s latest reimagination of the rose at Dior Joaillerie celebrates the maison's iconic emblem in all its glory

Beautiful blooms were always a prominent source of inspiration for Monsieur Dior – “fortunately, there are flowers,” he confided in his memoirs - so it’s no surprise that Victoire de Castellane shares his love of nature, returning to the rose time and time again in her two decades-plus role of artistic director at Dior Joaillerie.

Unfurling this passion in the Bois de Rose, Rose Dior Bagatelle and Rose Dior Pré Catelan collections, and now with the new Rose Dior Couture line, de Castellane is once more taking inspiration from the rose bushes Dior’s mother cultivated at the family home, the Villa les Rhumbs, in Granville, Normandy. Including bangles in the collection for the first time, pieces are crafted in white, pink or yellow gold, with the option of a frosting of diamonds for added sparkle.

Honouring the cherished motif, the nine exquisite pieces in the new Rose Dior Couture line bring together rose gold and diamonds on delicate necklaces, stud earrings and rings, inspired by the aesthetics of Bois de Rose, while the reimagined Rose Dior Pré Catelan line embraces the joyful hues of rose quartz, complemented by a more assertive palette with amethyst and bold onyx.

Finally, Rose Dior Bagatelle’s eleven new creations combine white gold and diamonds, with pieces including a mono-earring that appears as a stud or in a motif that stretches from the earlobe to the helix, plus a feminine two-finger ring, bangle and finely worked necklace.

It’s most certainly still coming up roses at the House of Dior. Available at Dior Joaillerie counters nationwide and online
