Over the past two decades, Victoire de Castellane (creative director of Dior Joaillerie) has created several jewellery collections centred around Christian Dior’s beloved inspirations. From his favourite bloom, the rose, to his pink-hued childhood home and his fascination with stars, De Castellane continually dips into the Dior archive to find her own starry-eyed muse.
This season, the jewellery designer continues to pay homage to Monsieur Dior with precious new pieces in the Rose des Vents and Rose Céleste collections. Adorned in golden suns, crescent moons, beaded hearts and eight-pointed stars, the new additions make sentimental lucky charms and reflect the emblematic codes of the house.
The latest pieces add a new mood to the jewellery offerings and a renewed sense of occasion: a cluster of compass rose medallions in luminous emerald and malachite, combined with diamonds and mother-of-pearl, decorate a four-strand necklace that is destined to elevate a simple black cocktail dress.
There’s a stunning multi-hued choker that resembles a playful piece of art; mix and match earrings that face the moon against the sun; and open rings punctuated with delicate diamonds and disks glittering with beams of light. Each is a treasure to wear and a heirloom piece to pass onto future generations.
The campaign for the new pieces sees Cara Delevingne dripping in the majestic medallions from the Rose des Vents and Rose Céleste lines. Captured in a dainty hand jewel and striking bib necklace, the model and actress styles the different silhouettes and charms — but which Dior Joaillerie piece are you drawn to?
