It’s not often that you’re invited to a Dior premiere, but on May 21 the French fashion house is offering the world a front row seat to a behind-the-scenes viewing of the new gem-adorned clutch bag. A blend of two classic crafts, the must-have accessory showcases a design collaboration between creative director of the house, Maria Grazia Chiuri, and artistic director of Dior Joaillerie, Victoire de Castellane.

Meticulously assembled by hand in the Dior ateliers, the design draws inspiration from the renowned rose garden at the Parc de Bagatelle in Paris, with a floral diamond clasp that evokes the Rose Dior Bagatelle jewellery collection. The gallery above offers a first-glimpse into the making of the the green satin  minaudière and at 6pm on May 21, fashion and jewellery fans will be able to tune into the video detailing further the exquisite craftsmanship and savoir-faire of the gem clutch back; watch the premiere below.
