Over 50 watchmaking Maisons took part in Watches and Wonders 2024, taking over Palexpo Convention Center in Geneva, Switzerland with dazzling showcases of the novelties they will be releasing over the coming year. While there was plenty to explore (see MOJEH‘s experience here!), there were some releases that captured our hearts. Here are the launches we can’t stop thinking about.
Chanel
Mademoiselle Chanel’s atelier is the inspiration behind Chanel’s Haute Horlogerie capsule collection, Couture O’Clock. The whimsical collection includes ateliers’ tools – thimbles, scissors, buttons and pins – transformed into timepieces, whether through necklaces with a time-telling safety pin pendant or watch with a bracelet modelled after measuring tape. Moving into the workshop, a stand out from the showcase is the one-of-a-kind Musical Clock Couture Workshop which features five black-and-white, diamond-adorned mannequins rotating to the rhythm of My Woman by Al Bowlly. In the centre, a delicate miniature chandelier complete with diamond droplets adds the finishing touch. Learn more
Tag Heuer
Tag Heuer launched four timepieces at Watches and Wonders, including three additions to the Carrera collection. The Carrera Chronograph is inspired by the 1960s heritage piece; Carrera Chronograph Skipper replicates the original green, orange and teal blue colourways of the original Skipper and is presented in 18K rose gold; and Carrera Date 36mm, three precious additions that infuse femininity through the use of diamonds, rose gold or mother-of-pearl. The fourth launch was the Monaco Split-Seconds Rattrapante Chronograph which is a collector’s edition timepiece released in blue and red. Learn more
Hublot
The watchmaking Maison has been busy, announcing six new launches at this year’s tradeshow. Of the new launches, the Unico Movement shines in five timepieces including the Big Bang Unico Pink Sapphire, Big Bang Unico Magic Gold and Big Bang Unico Orange Ceramic, the latter being the House’s first time achieving the vibrant hue in ceramic. Hublot demonstrated its connection to the sporting world through the Kylian Mbappe-backed Big Bang e UEFO Euro 2024 digital watch and launched a limited-edition exclusive Big Bang Unico Ice Bang which can only be purchased online. Jaeger-LeCoultre
In a showcase of heritage and high watchmaking, Jaeger-LeCoultre reveals a new generation of Duometre timepieces. Among them is the reinterpretation of the Duometre Quantieme Lunaire moon-phase timepiece, offered for the first time in steel. Ever the overachievers, the Maison also introduced the Duometre Heliotourbillon Perpetual which boasts an entirely new tourbillion construction which mimics a spinning top effect as it spins on three axes. Piaget

Icons are named as such for a reason: innovative movements, precious materials, designs rooted in history. The Swinging Sautoir, first introduced in 1969, featured a revolutionary ultra-thin 9p hand-wound mechanical movement and Piaget was the first Maison to house it in precious metals. This marriage of haute horlogerie and high jewellery comse together once more in 2024 for three new Swinging Sautoir. With two transformable editions that are able to be worn on the wrist and extremely rare gemstones of yellow sapphire, aquamarine, white opal cabochon and diamonds appearing throughout the collection, the pieces reflect the flamboyance of a bygone era.
