Meet Myrto Danelian, the Co-Owner and Creative Director of Danelian Diamond Club

Whether you’re looking to gift a one-of-a-kind piece, or simply to add some brilliance to your jewellery collection, we’ve found a brand that will elevate your look from ordinary to exquisite in a nanosecond.

From tailor-made shoes to monogrammed trunks, the number of luxury brands getting personal is on the rise. Fast fashion and trends are being eschewed in favour of anything that feels a little more special and has that personal touch, and what could be a better way to express this than with custom-made jewels?!

In a region where Audemars Piguet watches and piles of Cartier Love bracelets are considered uniform, the appeal of having something completely unique from a less identifiable brand is greater than ever. It offers us a reassuring sense of exclusivity, and this is exactly why we’re currently obsessed with Danelian Diamond Club.

Danelian’s collections span everything from fanciful and avant garde, to classic and contemporary, but what they also offer is a one -of-a-kind service where clients can collaborate with the jewellery house and create completely bespoke pieces. And who wouldn’t want to play designer with the most precious raw materials in the world?!

A recent social media post by mega influencer, Chiara Ferragni who wore one of Danelian’s ear cuffs while on holiday in Oman, means interest is peaking in the Middle East right now, too. But Chiara is just one of many famous faces to discover the jeweller, they also have the royal seal of approval and Victoria Secret model Ana Beatriz Barros stars in the new campaign.

MOJEH caught up with 39 year old Myrto Danelian, the Co-Owner and Creative Director, who works alongside her two sisters (Barbara and Irini) at Danelian – the Athens-based family business currently garnering global appeal.

How long does it take to order a bespoke piece?
How do clients usually contact you, and how does the process begin?
How do you begin to understand and translate the client's request?

First a client would share with us the occasion he or she wants to celebrate with the bespoke jewellery - it might be an engagement ring, a one of a kind wedding set, a pendant for a newborn, a birthday gift - finding a good reason to create a unique piece of jewellery is the easy part. It could just be just because you want to match it with a particular dress. Then we talk about the person that will own it, and her style, personality and taste. So if it is a surprise, we can make her as happy as possible.

Can you explain the final steps — where the product is created and comes to life?
What kind of requests do you get from Middle Eastern customers?
Can you talk us through any special commissions?

Recently, we did a beautiful brooch for a member of Royal family. Unfortunately, I can’t say which. It was a crown embellished with pear shaped diamonds that you could wear with a special chain, or as a choker, too. We love doing jewellery that can be transformed, so the wearer can enjoy the piece in many different ways.

What do you love about women's style in this region?
Why did you choose Ana Beatriz Barros to star in your latest campaign?

Finally, what inspires you, and the collections?
