The 2023 VMAs saw celebrities in sequins strutting its pink carpet, with others opting for skin-baring silhouettes

The Video Music Awards is a fun-filled affair for the brightest and boldest talents in the music industry. The VMAs is hosted by MTV and honours achievements in music-related filmmaking, awarding creatives in categories including Best Cinematography, Best Direction and Best Choreography, though if we are being honest, all eyes are on the red carpet. The VMAs has a younger, cooler energy than the Oscars or Golden Globes, bringing with it a plethora of exciting – and occasionally questionable – fashion choices. The trend at the 2023 VMAs? Pizazz and plenty of skin. From gently embellished gowns and head-to-toe sequins to cut-outs and custom dresses that leave little to the imagination, these are the celebrity red carpet outfits that stole the show.
