The Shoot: Express Yourself In Extravagant Gowns

10 Photos

Unleash your inner extrovert in extravagant gowns, replete with high-octane tones, extreme prints and billowing extras.

This season is all about feel-good fashion, and MOJEH’s shoot showcases the boldest, brightest and most bodacious gowns we’ve ever laid our eyes upon. Shan Khan commands attention on our cover in a cascading, optimistic-yellow top coupled with a dazzling gemstone-encrusted skirt and matching headpiece, all designed by Lebanese couturier Georges Hobeika.

Ruffles, frills and bows, oh my! Stand-out silhouettes are made bolder by larger-than-life bows, puff sleeves (with frill-covered cuffs for added oomph, of course) and voluminous skirts that ooze elegance and attitude all at once. Toughen up feminine florals with Balenciaga’s leather gloves and rock star sunnies or take cues from the ultra-girly Richard Quinn ensemble expertly crafted by stylist Anna Hughes-Chamberlain.

Elsewhere, photographer Petros captures the fun-loving spirit of Halpern’s glorious green leopard-print gown, as well as Stéphane Rolland’s more introverted approach. MOJEH is here to remind you that gowns aren’t to be saved for special occasions. After all, who could resist wearing Emilia Wickstead in the daytime? Whether you’d rather a more muted monochrome dress a la Roksanda – paired with a statement-making hat for added sun protection – or are channeling your inner romantic with Simone Rocha’s rose-embroidered dress, peruse this fun-loving shoot for all the outfit inspiration you’ll need this month.
