Hollywood celebrities took to the red carpet late last night in an array of designer gowns for the Oscars. Here are our top six looks from the event.
Actress Emma Stone opted for her signature bold look, dressed in a lime sequined Elie Saab gown, full peach lip and red locks, her alternative style continued to impress. Alongside another sparkling success of the evening, Best Actress winner Julianne Moore wore a pale strapless custom Chanel design, channeling the 1920s with her classic updo, complete with Fred Leighton jewellery.
Reese Witherspoon and Sienna Miller took to the red carpet in simple, classic attire. Reese wore a classic monochrome Tom Ford, effortlessly fitted, teamed with loose curls for a sophisticated look, while Sienna challenged fashion rules with a black and blue fishtail by Oscar de la Renta and Forevermark diamond jewellery.
The Oscars are a renowned event that inspire gowns that challenge the boundaries and defy the LBD; Marion Cotillard wore a unique Dior Haute Couture gown, thereby continuing her favouring of alternatives designs, and Rosamund Pike revealed a bright red textured Givenchy dress with thigh split.
