For the Chanel Haute Couture Summer 2018 collection, Karl Lagerfeld envisioned a collection of power pieces which are both wearable and beautifully crafted. In A Parisian Love Story, MOJEH styles the key looks
Long tweed dresses are presented in deep pinks and purples, worn with thick, black leather gloves. In another look, a pea shaped coat carries a thick, masculine collar and deep shoulder pads. Beautifully powerful.
Slightly more feminine options come in the form of a black lace gown with tiered frills falling below the waist, and a soft pink satin dress with bow detailing on the shoulder. Both are styled with pointed chelsea boots for an edge of androgyny.
Old couture meets new-world artistry in a collision of conventional codes. Think toughly-tailored tweeds, structured satin gowns and a colour palette not for the faint-hearted.
