It was just three months ago that kitsch ready-to-wear label Rixo launched its first ever bridal collection, and now the British brand has expanded its repertoire even further with its first foray into footwear, and the results are stunning. Designed by co-founders Henrietta Rix and Orlagh McCloskey, the collection comprises nine vintage inspired styles crafted in a second-generation factory in Alicante, Spain, which specialises in small batch production to ensure minimal waste.
If you’re a fan of the duo’s playful print dresses, this collection will be right up your alley. Think nostalgic silhouettes and a retro colour scheme, its micro-heeled shoes are perfect for summer thanks to their variety of finishings and playful colourways. Designed to slip on and go - whether working, dancing or strolling - straps are positioned to flatter and considered heel heights ensure an effortless transition from day-to-night. Its signature Palma style, a block heel mule which comes emblazoned with a flower-power motif, will look just as great with boyfriend jeans and a breezy vest or as it will with a sophisticated black jumpsuit, while its 90s inspired strappy silhouettes will be perfect for all those rescheduled upcoming weddings.
Founded in the living room of the two best friends who were students at the London College of Fashion, the premium womenswear label has taken the industry by storm since it was founded in 2015, and is now a huge success story with sell-out appeal. Much loved for its silk hand-painted print dresses and separates inspired by the 60s, Net-a-Porter counts Rixo as one of its best-selling brands, while its LFW show is always in high-demand from editors and influencers a like. We can’t wait to get our hands on its next piece of the puzzle…
