Will you be in Doha this weekend? Natalia Vodianova's next fundraising event is taking a turn into the Middle East...
Every year, Natalia Vodianova gathers a group of industry friends and celebrities to attend her popular fundraising event, Love Ball. However, this year will mark a particularly special edition as the event will be taking place in the Middle East.
Held in Doha’s Museum of Islamic Art, Love Ball will be a night of where fashion and art meet philanthropy.
Continuing to raise awareness for people with mental disabilities, the model has invited a slew of fashion personalities from the Gulf (and internationally) to support her charity, the Naked Heart Foundation.
Previously taking place in Monte Carlo, London and Moscow – Vodianova's move to the Middle East will mark the first time the charity has hosted a gala in the region. Plus, the Naked Heart Foundation will share funds from the event with the Qatar-based organisation, Al Shafallah center, which supports people with special needs.
According to WWD, Vodianova said: "Al Shafallah will also become the first Middle Eastern hub for our new parent training program, which has been initiated by Naked Heart experts to improve their children’s futures and support the mental health of the whole family."
The event will also feature a Spring 2019 runway show, courtesy of Russian designer Ulyana Sergeenko. Plus, the collection will feature new silhouettes inspired by Qatar, too.
So, who can you expect to see on the guestlist? Some of the biggest names joining the model will include Alessandra Ambrosio, Diane von Furstenberg and Carine Roitfeld.
