Mojeh

We speak to the model about her Lebanese roots and what life is like in the French capital

Have you lived in Paris all your life?

No, I grew up in Beirut. I then moved to New York and London for my studies, and Paris for work.

What do you do there?

I’m a scenographer and designer for events, mainly fashion events. I'm also a model.

What was your first designer piece?

My first ever designer piece was a Louis Vuitton Speedy with my initials engraved on it. I loved it.

What are your thoughts on the Louis Vuitton cruise ’19 collection, which you wear in the shoot?

It’s one of my favourites. I love the eccentricity with cruise shows and especially this one. The colours, retro and mismatched feel and strong feminine aesthetic to the collection made me want to wear every look. The fact that the looks strutted between Mirò sculptures definitely added to the magic.

How would you describe your style?

It’s a lot of whoever I want to be on a certain day so it’s very unexpected and quite free. I don’t fear colour and mix a lot of styles and moods.

Whose style inspires you?

How do you get dressed?

I like to dress the part, so I’ll dress very differently for different occasions. I’ll wear something dramatic to go to the theatre and keep my vision glasses on if I’m going to an art talk.

What is your go-to outfit for a party in Paris?

Red leather pants, a cool vintage scarf as a shirt, and big statement earrings.

Five wardrobe essentials you can't live without?

A good button up blouse, a strong shouldered blazer, a pair of heels I can dance in, big bulky boots to toughen up a soft look, and loads of accessories.

Does your Lebanese heritage influence your style?

Which designers do you love?

Ellery, Situationist, Martine Rose, Maison Margiela, Alexander McQueen and Louis Vuitton.

Do you follow trends? If so, which ones for AW18?

Not always, I take what I feel fits my style. This season’s trends are right up my alley though: the ‘80s silhouettes, futuristic materials, and all these silk scarfs are heaven for me.

Where do you shop?

On a day off in Paris, what do you do?

I look at a lot of art, read in a café and go dancing with people I love.
